@henrynevins I have to say I agree somewhat. Keyword- somewhat. I notice it varies depending on who the artist/photographer is and the models. If you search the net enough, there is still hope. Some shoots clearly stick to replicating the old days and not going over the line, into * PornoLand*

@NatureNTech What is your point? One either likes illustration or not.Pin up illustration or illustration period. I consider those who create such -artists. Ilustration seems like they are a lesser bunch of artists- and they aren't. Vargas is a incredibly realistic in his work.Hardcore porn is just porn. I realize some people enjoy it- but to call it art is a stretch. What were the words of the Supreme Court justice?" I know it when I see it?" Yeah- a reference to porn.

Once you get past the WWII pin-ups your theory of "playful", "innocent" goes right out the window. All the modern day subjects/photos look like raunchy skanks.

Love pin up artistry/illustration. Not cheesy: it is cute and complimentary toward the female form. Admiration of the female form should not be deemed as demeaning - unlike hardcore porn. People need to see- actually see- the distinct difference by viewing the work of the many talentedl people who focused on this type of art as a career..
