There are a number of hypothesis:
1. This alien is a clown wannabe and couldn't get a clown job at his home planet.
2. All clowns are actually aliens, we finally see one exposed.
3. The aliens are planning on invading our planet and this is a nice cover up.
Someone has another idea?
