My junior high jazz band traveled to see him play in the 70s. When he played this we were on our feet the entire time. The conclusion had five trumpets turn to the crowd and play the chorus in unison. To this day, it was one of the most moving moments in my life. Truly incredible.

The entire "ending" (at least of the Beatles version) takes up half the song. To right like this is crazy. still awesome.
