all this purity in whos what is more of the same supremacy bullshit - little people trying to find any way possible to elevate themself over another. who gives a fuck. If i saw someone claiming to be Australian even if they were only loosely tied, i'd be happy that they were proud enough to embrace whatever it is that makes them so. i'm only first gen aus. i got Scottish, Irish, British blood in me. i'm happy of my ancestors origins and i'm happy with mine and i can embrace both.

This is ridiculous. I doubt that any of the people here claiming Scottish heritage think of it in the same manner as the ones complaining about "Plastic Scots". I'm an American. I know that. So do they.
However, I also know my heritage. I teach my kids about it, I attend the festivals, compete in the games. I'm not pretending to I live in Scotland. I'm celebrating what makes my family different from others. I can't change or deny where I was born but no one else can change or deny my heritage.
