  • Unfortunately, no such thing as a "healthy dose" of inflation, aka: redsitribution.

    All the more disturbing his policy suggestion. Rather sick really to wish that upon the EU's 'net contributor' peoples, like the Dutch and Germans etc, the very paymasters of the PIIGs lavish dolce vita lifestyle in the past. Shame, for an otherwise excellent sketch of the nature of the current problems in Europe.

    Convergence, where art thou?

    There goes the eurofatcrats' final (fingers crossed) phantasy.

  • I wish he had given a summary of what he was going to talk about in the beginning. Why did people believe in the convergence fairy? There was evidence. Of course, there was OTHER evidence about the divergence of saving and investment especially in the peripheral countries.
