Based on The Script song 'Nothing'
Hope you enjoy it :)
Nick and Kevin pulled me past the old apartment. The curtains were still closed and I couldn't see any signs of life.
I looked down at my scuffed boots as they hit the pavement. I heard the rowdiness of the local and I was pushed into the loud and packed bar.
"Three, please mate." Kevin leant against the bar and kissed Dani who was waiting for us, a white wine spritzer in front of her. "Hey babe."

An hour later and Sel had finished her shift behind the bar so she was sat on Nick's lap opposite. As I ran the conversations from four hours previous through my head, I realised what I should've said, shouldn't have done.
I finish my beer and stand up, pushing my way through the fans supporting the football match on the TV. I heard the bars stools previously occupied by Nick and Kevin scrape across the floor and footsteps follow me.
I ran down the street and stopped in front of it. The window was open. Good.
"Joe! Don't do this!"
"DEMI!!"
Nothing.
"Joe, she isn't going to magically take you back. She exp-,"
"I don't give a shit!" I shrugged their restraining hands off me. "DEMI!! LISTEN TO ME. I'M SO SORRY ABOUT WHAT I SAID. YOU WERE RIGHT. I'M A JERK. A FUCKING PRICK! AND I DON'T DESERVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU. YOU WERE AND STILL ARE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME. WE'LL MAKE IT WORK. PLEASE. JUST LET US TALK."
As time ticked by, there was no movement in the second floor apartment. I saw Dani move towards me out of the corner of my eye and I held my hand up. A lamp was put on, the floor lamp by the window probably. The one right next to the coffee table with the photo of us on the beach; with the phone and notepad.
A tiny silhouette came into view and it climbed out the window. In the light of the streetlight, I could see her red, puffed up eyes. I stared as she leant on the balcony railings and smiled close lipped at me.
