Graphic showoff of a creepy, very deep and atmospheric first person shooter, Metro 2033.
This game has elements that resemble directly Fallout3, Stalker, Fear and even the classic Silent Hill series.
The contrast between lights and shadows is one of the main aesthetic argument used to present this heavy atmosphere.
I could call it more "european" than the top selling games of this genre, bringing up the elements and semiotics of a decaying existense in a more dense and old fashioned style, with some very characteristic slavic horror elements, including ghastly metaphysic experiences and the obscure presence of "the dark ones".
The story line is somehow similar to Fallout3, were a nuclear cataclysmic war generated post apocalyptic debris on the surface, and most people live in the underground. But the similarities kind of end there...this game is much more heavy than Fallout 3 psychologically.
Some events may really scare the hell out of the faint hearted.
Definitely recommended!
