There is no way I could go off methotrexate for 6 weeks (I've tried - won't be repeating that experiment lol). Prednisone has evil withdrawal effects too, so you sure copped a double whammy. Couldn't they have just pumped you full of antibiotics instead? It would be way more tolerable than stopping the other meds.

I know I have to look at it that way. I'm just so scared being in even more pain than I already am. But I am "wonder woman"...I can do it. Thanks for your support. hugs for you too.

Thanks so much. I know if I keep positive it will and thanks for the hugs. Yes, I went to see my Rheumatologist and he gave me some vicodin. So far, it takes the edge off. Have a great week.

Hi Lyzette,
I'm so sorry you're feeling sad and frustrated. Getting ready for the surgery is a long process. My surgery was postponed because I had a bacteria in my stomach!!
Don't worry and don't give up!
Try to follow other pain management techniques and think of it as just one more step towards your new life...

Thanks. It has been a long process and I think that is what devasted me more because I finally felt pumped and excited because it was now just around the corner and it just made me so sad. I am calling my rheumatologist to see what other pain techniques I can do in the meantime. thanks for your sweetness.
