This film was originally made around 1906...103 years ago. It was part of a series of tests for the newly patented motion picture camera of Thomas Edison. The two women boxers were The Johnson Sisters...a Vaudville female boxing act that was quite popular in it's time. Edison filmed various events with varying actions to test his new invention. Without him, your cell phone cameras would not exsist. The mentality of today's "humans" is down right scary.

Fahey would have been amused by the juxtaposition of this bizarre film with his unique music! Love the incongruity of "ladies" boxing in their petticoats & stylish hats. This is funny--even for those who do not believe in rough sports like boxing. Those negative commenters need to grow a sense of humor.
