A very old archive piece - this was done in 1986 using a super-8 camera. I was in Art School at the time and my assignment for filmmaking class was to document my life during one full week. My live-in girlfriend had just left me and I was not in a good head space ( an understatement) so I ended up staying drunk and stoned and watching lousy TV 24/7 - so that's what I filmed.... This short 3 minutes is a full week of TV viewing - day and night - using a shutter release cable - and the final reel was stomped on, scratched and drawn on. I remember a Telethon was on all that week, so that's what the phone number is that appears on the screen. The computer graphics were from a computer class I took in 1981 and edited into the TV footage (cutting edge fractals at the time!). The clips of the punks (not on TV) was just some footage I shot at an anti-Reagan rally a few weeks before! All shot in San Francisco and presented at the Academy of Art (I got an A by the way)...
