January 10, 2009 (4:25 p.m.) Toronto - Trooper Brian Good, Royal Canadian Dragoons, serving with the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment, returns home from Kandahar, Afghanistan.
75 proud Canadians pay their respects to this brave soldier by standing on an overpass at Victoria Park and the 401 in Scarborough and waving Canadian flags.
In attendance was a young Canadian Army soldier, a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, the Peel Regional Paramedic Services, the Toronto Emergency Medical Services, the Toronto Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police and City Pulse 24 news. Special thanks to Arnie for his continued dedication to our soldiers at the Victoria Park overpass.
It was very cold outside. The temperature was -8 degree Celsius, with a -16 degree Celsius Wind-chill factor and 26 km/hr winds. The wait was well worth it.
As covered in the media by CP24.

Good to see folks support, note..in your description..we don't have a Royal Canadian Army...Some Regiments earned the prefix Royal, like Royal Canadian Regiment, Royal Newfoundland Regiment etc..but the Canadian Army (Land Command) was never Royal. Just the Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force.

It was a very sad event. This video was taken on the overpass at Victoria Park and the 401 in Scarborough. The turnout was strong and the display of Canadian flags with so many Canadians standing behind them was an amazing, touching sight. I just wish there was something more we could do for Trooper Good's family.
