  • Have you noticed that the blue gills change color if you turn on the light? Mine do, and they do it pretty quickly.

  • Yea they do and the one makes himself almost black most the time except when fed then he tuns green with a little bit of striping. They are fascinating and very responsive fish. When they see me they come to the glass (to beg for worms I think)

  • cool, the darker fish won, lol! i have a largemouth bass in my fish tank, and when i get him a bigger one i'm going to put in a bluegill, crappie, and a small bass, and probably another crappie. good stuff, five stars.

  • Thanks for responding. Mine are still shy around me, I've only had them for two weeks. The pond I caught them out of is pretty murky. Hopefully they calm down in another week or so. I'm going to go catch some minnows out of the pond to feed them.
