whoever makes fun of automatics is a poser just following the crowd. Automatics are good for drag racing because there more consistent. Then the posers state "but it takes no skill" Ok then why the hell is everyone asking this good driver how he launched it. Quit following the crowd and stop saying stupid shit. 5 speed are good but each has its flaw

i agree, my 09 ralliart is a 6 speed auto, and it kicks ass with the double clutch transmission, its not as fun and some one my friends cars are to drive though, but it hauls ass, and i'll ruin them, because the minimal shift time.

funny, thing I did this same techinque with my eclipse 420a auto all stock against my brother mx6 the mazda probe version thats manual. I got two lenghts on him. I laughed he was mad and now he owns a 99 gs auto. Lmao

@MustangFan424 Thats not true at all! LOL you can switch and engage the next gear a bit faster on a manual. That and a manual has far less paracitic drive line loss. Autos tend to be stronger and more consistant. Hence used more often for dragracing.

What auto trans are you running im building a BC 272 cammed big 16g 96 talon auto. Got an absolute steal on a near perfect car for 300 bucks. I know nothing about these things but am slowly learning. Used to big block smallblock v8. Id be pretty happy with a low 12 for this talon though. thats all I need. If you can hit me up or anyone else who ACTUALY KNOWS about what theyre talking about.
