Private island paradise.....what happened to the amusement park? Taken over by the idol rich.......again? Money dont buy ya happeness, just hatred by us common folks who once again lost out to the money people.
It really sucks that they let a fun place for so many people turn into a damn marina for so few to enjoy. I'm sure it's a gated communaty. I'm sure all the kids will be outside nstead of inside playing video games. LOL. And we wonder why all the kids are playing video games? Maybe it's because we let wonderfull places like BOB-LO ISLAND PARK CLOSE. R.I.P. the real Bob-Lo Island.
tdiesbourg2: I went back in March and was wondering what that building was that looked like the Mariner's Church in Detroit was. I assumed that it was, at one time, a church. I don't know much about Boblo history because I was so young when it was opened (it closed the at the end of the season that I was 13). I didn't know it was a power plant.
If you have read the history you would know there is no chapel on Boblo Island. Never was. The building you are refering to was built as a steam powered electric generation plant in 1906
yeah well that never happened jerk!
