The very first official mixtape awards in the UK . This very special award ceremony will be a celebration of music at the grass roots level, a chance for the newcomers and independent artists to earn recognition for their years work. Some of the country's best urban acts, who have reached the dizzy heights of the top of the charts, have all started in the mixtape game, from Wiley, Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder to Kano, Skepta, Bashy and many more.
Without the mixtape scene none of these artists would have been able to express themselves and create a fanbase to take them to the next level. We believe our award show will change the face of UK music, give artists continued hope of a breakthrough and inspire more young people to do something creative.
