http://saltwaterknots.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-tie-bimini-twist-captain-ma... Capt. Matt quickly ties a Bimini Twist with thick yarn. http://www.riplips.com The Bimini Twist is an every day fishing knot. Be sure to add more twists (20+/-) and, single and double wrap hitches(6-8) when using mono or flourocarbon. Use this knot for tarpon leaders, shark leaders and many other big fish connections. Practice, every knot counts!

  • Great My Bud uses the Bimini all the time & tries to teach me ;this vid is helpful,'cause I can see it over& over,

You can NEVER have enough different knots that you know!!They all come in handy,

We go Sharking off the Beaches & that knot sees use all the time, I think everybody we fish with uses it to put a TOPSHOT on ,

Some of the Guys make up shark leaders with weedwhacker line .095"crimped in & "Berkely"sevlon250#-7strandSSbraided nylon ctd lead. Mtl. , 400#swivels &500#Barrelswvl

  • Sei spettacolare !!!

  • @unitaper You use it to make a double then use a uni knot to tie double to swivel then to trace.

  • @ahndeux No its not .ive caught Tuna well over 300LB..and never used this knot i use .fishin fool's knot which is just a improved uni 80lb Braid and the Rapala knot.with 80LB mono..and they never break...maybe for marlin near 1,000lb..but thats insane man,,and that fishin is for multi millionaires,u must be rich to do fishin like that..the everyday man never goes deep sea fishin like that on a regular basis..

  • @5tonyvvvv

You are missing the point. If you are just using mono, you have a lot of knot options. This knot is absolutely necessary with Spectra for tying a top shot of mono. The rapala knot would not work with spectra and you will not be able to reliably tie a mono to it.
