too far back in your hand. I'm not even close to closing a number 3 but I lock it in the folds of skin on the reverse side of my knuckles when I "set the gripper"

damn...how fast your explosiveness was is inspirational. I can only 1/2-5/8 close #3...doing a lot of john brookfield's excercises to develop lower arm strength, grip, crushing strength myself..
