Umm unless you dont have personal experience behind the wheel of both i wouldnt be so quick to compare the BMW to the Infiniti and state it "better". As a Family owner of a 2007 BMW 328I and a 2009 G37 sedan i can assure you the ride quality of the Infiniti to the BMW is uncomparable. I find the Infiniti so much more luxurious then the BMW, the Bimmers headlights are a plus and the exterior looks mean from the out side but it doesnt show the performance on the road, I would stay with the G.

I remember when BMW was light years ahead of Infiniti and now it appears that they have created something far better then the new 5-series.

@srt4turbo1 You can refer me to a biased review on the BMW and I to can refer you to a biased review for the Infiniti. The fact of the matter is , the 3 series is a great car, I agree but to say that in retrospect it is superior to the G37 would just be moronic to state. Yes the BMW does have certian traits that do give it some advantages over the G37 without a doubt, but as a whole in terms of defining the over all "better" vehicle, the G37 takes the cake in every conceivable way.

@srt4turbo1 BMW might have a 4 year $0 out of pocket maintenance plan as standard but Infiniti was the first to offer 24 hour road side assistance, customer loaner cars and the first to offer a 24 hour private agent planner which is standard in every new Infiniti via blue tooth for every car. Powered seats, leather upholstery & Bi xenon headlights are an options on a BMW 3 series which is absurd for starters, the C-class and A4 even come with some of these features as standard, the list goes on

@srt4turbo1 Hmmm lets see what else?? The BMW 335i has a 300 HP engine VS the G37 with a 330 HP engine, regardless both cars are great performers. Aside from the owner incentives in terms of maintenance the BMW in the long run is ridiculous to maintain, even for those with the cash. The G37 maintains its residual value over a period of 4 years much stronger then that of the BMW 3 series which already has a strong resale to begin with.

-reliability, your right

-Size? Maybe the sedan, not even close for both coupes

-All bmw's are poorly equip, so are Porsches, they don't come standard with heated seats or auto on off headlights, the G37 must be better then Porsches too?

Read and review by the pros, maybe there wrong too?

@srt4turbo1 LCD Infotainment system screen which is standard on both G37 models with or without the navigation system, even the new Audi A4 and Mercedes C-class have this, the BMW 3 series does not. In terms of size the BMW 3 series is much smaller then the Infiniti, not to mention the G37 is more reliable then the BMW. As for handling, the G37 is equivelant to that of the BMW 335i, the differences are minor. Keep in mind we are comparing the G37 with the 3 series, not Infiniti & BMW as a whole

@srt4turbo1 Sure I'll be glad to help you out! =) By the way your statement, "but ask 100 people, over 50 will say BMW" has no relevance to the question, I said whats the better car not what people think is the better car. You know, tech? speed? reliability? size? comfort? etc.

-Handling

-Looks (subjective, but ask 100 people, over 50 will say BMW)

-Speed

-0 maintenance for 4 years

G37 over bimmer

-Standard options (you can say that with a civic over a BMW, most German cars come very low equip standard)

@srt4turbo1 Really how so??? The 328i is identical to that of the 335i only the 328i has a smaller displacement engine. The driving dynamics of the Infiniti G37 is the closest competitor on par with the BMW, the G37 has more standards as base model compared to the loaded 335i and the G has 328 HP Vs the 300 HP in the 335i, the G is largest entry level sedan in its class aswell. I love both cars but I am not going to justify the BMW 3 series being the better car simply because its "German".

Your correct...But the 328i doesn't compare to the G37, the 335i does...And that is superior to the G37 in nearly every way.
