@AxletheBeast Considering Phantom can make clones of himself, he could have disliked this 4 times :D
-
@DragonBalIZero That actually doesn't make sense. Only Phantom would have hated it; the other guardians were excited to fight Zero again. :P

@SonicWinds Please send the original then!

This isn't the original either. lol

@KaiserdeEmperana I would gladly love to say fuck you right now because you got 2 facts wrong -- Ryuusei 3 had a GENIUS ending and gaming mechanism was freakin awesome, and X series collapsed because of fucking nonsensical X6. Legends CAN go and die, I agree with that.

Hold on I just thought of something.
If Megaman X fought and died to seal the Dark Elf, then why is it that in all the Megaman X games we don't see hide nor hair of it?

@deathhorse10 The Elf wars take place sometime when Zero goes into that century long sleep. MegaMan X 5 was supposed to be the last X game, but the X series was continued on after due to Capcom wanting to milk the franchise longer than the creator wanted.

@13lace but if were a century long sleep then wouldn't that mean that it would have been during 22XX (the same year that MMX: command mission would have tooken place)

@deathhorse10 There was no specific date on when Zero actually slept for a century. Originally it was set to happen after X5, but as you can see it was proven otherwise and it actually happened further down the timeline.

@13lace I always thought that it broke into alternate cannons based off the endings of the games.

@ZiggyPheonixTJV In an interview years back, he said that he wanted to have ended the X series with 5, but with the amount of money Capcom was getting from the series, they prolonged it.
Which is why games like X6, X7, X8, Command Mission and handheld spinoffs were made, for the the money.
MegaMan is one of the few titles that actually generated a large fanbase with its style and gameplay which is why things never ended up the way the creator wanted.
