This is one of the finest pieces of steel I've seen out there; awesome work! I'm waiting for you to make more. Then you were playin my all time favorite band CCR! It don't git better! Keep up the good work bro! Mark 1:35 Keep the faith!

@bindlestitch1 Ani roeh, Thanks Iz. I think I get the idea now, it should be similar steel to my machete/parang found in my region. They are good for taking impact like you said, but you can't complain about edge retention for those steels. 52-100 is easy to sharpen & touch up the edge after each use, but I from my experience, it requires constant maintaining to keep it razor sharp. 52-100 can take a VERY keen edge quite easily though!

Thanks, brother.
I know of a guy whose mom makes pawpaw pie every year but I've never seen a pawpaw around here. There around but I don't think they're that plentiful in my area.
Thanks, man.

Thanks, my friend. I appreciate the kind words.
I love that scripture reference, too. It says a lot in very few words.
God bless,
Iz
p.s. CCR rocks! :D

Hmmm...looks like a nice knife to me. Handle seems to make it more aggressive and butt area helps make pulling out the knife easier if stuck on something. Thumbs up. Not sure what steel that is though?

Thanks, my friend.
This one is 1075 spring steel. Slightly less carbon content than 1095 but a little more toughness.
Thanks again,
Iz

@bindlestitch1 I see, Iz. Hardly any experience with that. Is that similar to 52-100? I have a knife in that steel. Cheers bro

It's not real similar to 52-100. It's slightly tougher than 52-100 but not near the edge holding capability as 52-100 has. It's good steel but it's more for larger knives that will be taking an impact in my opinion. I'm sure some people wouldn't agree with me on that but that's just my thoughts on it.
52-100 is a great steel for smaller knives I think.
