I had only picked up poi for the first time that day! What I did wrong was picking up the meteors at all lol

it looked liked you were trying to do a 3 beat weave but confused on the 4th. you should've swung the 4th beat to your other side. I sometimes confuses myself because i recently taught myself the 3 beat weave.

Instead, try spining it around so it has the feel of a staff. THEN try to continue swinging it with one hand only. it's tricky cuz you gotta let it wrap around your wrist before you catch it with your hand again.

hahaha, i did that a few times, and in the face... a few times... then i gave up, for about half an hour, then started again :D luckily i was only using tennis balls in some socks. lol.

Hehehe...

I've been practicing for meteor for quite a while, and I still hurt myself now and then. Like last week, I hit myself in the shins. It still hurts.... Sad thing is, the better you get, the more it hurts if (no, when...) you hit yourself.
