@NaruIno35 I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, you are certainly entitled to it. And a peaceful world free of crime would be wonderful.

But here's another thought: would crime and evil really be wiped out? Or would it just get more clever at hiding itself?

As wonderful as humans can be, there are people who just won't care, or even find a way to exploit Light's new world.

@NaruIno35 Hm..yes, but when would it end? Would he really stop at criminals? What about people he thought the world would do better without? If he felt you were not contributing to society, whether through laziness or an illness or old age? As a 'god', he would certainly make it a crime to disagree with him, and soon his own morals and ideals would be enforced. Opinion and basic human rights would be nonexistent. No free speech, no personal beliefs, fear that if they make one mistake they die.

@Parabuzzy That's so weird...I don't remember saying it was a world that EVERYONE would agree they want. That is impossible. In my opinion I thought it could work but it's fine obviously if you don't agree. Hell i still think it could work. It's not like Light was just be killing any and everybody (And don't bring up him killing "innocent" people because they were trying to stop him. What else was he supposed to do?) he still just TRIED to kill criminals. It depends on your morals.

I must say, when I watched this show it was the most satisfying thing ever to see that bastard Light finally get his just desserts - oh, and even though there is no replacing L, Near is one of my favorite characters in the show, too. :3
