2nd ASEAN MEDIA FORUM,BANGKOK,2010

2nd Asean Media forum was organized by the Asian Media Information and Communication Center in collaboration with Friedrich Ebert Stiftunf Foundation(FES) of Germany, . The forum was held in Bangkok, Windsor suite hotel Sukumvit, which took 2 days 9th - 10th of November, highlighted on the use of the variety of media tools to bring people and nations of ASEAN members. On the first day the welcome speech was given by the Secretary General of Asean Media and Information Center, Dr Sundeep R.Muppidi and Mr Rolf Passch of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Germany. Keynote speaker of the forum was Mr Viswa Sadasivan who is the former Media Executive and currently nominated Member of Parliament, Singapore.Four penal discussion sessions under the title of "Seeing ASEAN Through ASEAN Eyes, Media for ASEAN Youth Community, Community Paricipation and ASEAN MEdia and Official Launch of AMIC-UNESCO Research Report on Thai Public Broadcasting Service, the discussion were conducted in the style of television talk show and filmedmin by ASEAN TV network operated by MCOT. Two work shop were held on second day with the purpose to develop a TV documentary exchange scheme with ASEAN. India social media expert and author Dr Madanmohan Rao and Mr Howie Severino who is the Vice President for Multimedia Journalism and Editor in Chief of GMA News TV Philippines were facilitated each of the work shop.
