The second leg of my history-making Save the Poles expedition, the North Pole expedition was anything but easy. It took our three-man team 51 days to cover the 500 miles from Cape Discovery Ellesmere Island to the Geographic North Pole. Very few people have completed full North Pole expeditions due to it's inaccessibility, arduous terrain and extreme cold.
