  • I really wish that John Patrick Shanley had cast Cherry Jones in the film version. Don't get me wrong I love Meryl Streep but Cherry Jones is in my mind the only person who could master that role!

  • Maybe you could learn to be open minded. Meryl Streep was brilliant too and this is not a role that only one actor could play.

  • @roccoh21 Meryl was hardly brilliant. She had some superb moments, especially in her final scene with Amy Adams (whose performance I thought was truly remarkable), but much of the performance was mere bluster. I'm a Meryl fan, but it was hardly a deeply nuanced work. Nor was it poor by any means. It served its purpose, but rarely approached brilliance.

  • Thanks for posting this, I love Cherry Jones.

  • WOW!
