It combines the remarkable functionality of Caldwell's Fire Control mechanism with the portability and stability of a stylish one-piece shooting rest.

The innovative Fire Control system includes internal plates that slide up and down and left and right in response to movement of the control arm. Move the control arm and you move your rifle - and your crosshairs - a little bit this way or that way. The system gives you perfect fingertip control over the location of your crosshairs when the trigger breaks. No more squeezing, tugging, or shifting a rear bag, only to have crosshairs that move out of position at the last second.

The glass-smooth internal mechanisms make adjusting crosshair positions intuitive and accurate.Full-length rests that provide windage control are useful in some situations - but a full-length rest that can provide small, accurate, on-the-fly adjustments to windage and elevation is a real advantage, as it allows you to adjust for shifting wind directions and small firearm movements that change bullet impact. Your groups will be smaller and your handload testing sessions will be more accurate.

Varmint hunters will also appreciate the chance to nudge their crosshairs up and down a little bit, depending on the orientation or movement of their target.The unique front cradle accepts specially designed bags. Two bags are included - a traditional medium-width bag and a "3-lobe" bag for wide forends on competition and varmint rifles. The soft non-marring rear pad firmly supports the rear of your stock without damaging the finish.

Some people would say that this new rest will give them better accuracy, precision and repeatability for sighting in, handloading or competing. (Varmint hunters will also find it indispensible.) We just say it will give them the ultimate in Fire Control.
