If you close your eyes you can imagine birds flying,a calm river, flowers that are carried by the wind and of course...angels flying.

I've had an epiphany of sorts. Since i listen to classical music so rarely, the few times i do listen, i do as i would for normal music i.e paying close attention to the little details and giving the music my full concentration. I have just realised that doesn't work for me at all, and for me, classical compositions are best listened to whilst reading or performing tasks, subtly absorbing it in the background and letting the relaxing effect of it wash over.
Normally this would be a pretty straightforward thing to realize, but you see, for almost as long as i can remember i have been listening to music via a pair of studio headphones at home so i can channel the hard rock straight into my eardrums lol, and you lose the ambient effect of certain genres. I like the piece by the way, although my knowledge of Beethoven is disgustingly shallow , seeing as he is arguably the most renowned classical composer of all time...

I know what you mean max, and I do agree that classical music is a great ambient sound.
Very often I will pick pieces of music to play whilst performing certain tasks, cooking, painting, reading, soap making. They can relax you, make work less stressful even make food and conversation that much sweeter. Such select pieces are rarely ones I will listen to for just for entertainment.
However this piece I can enjoy by itself, it's just too perfect to waste as background sound. Glad you enjoyed

Yes, excellent mediation music. It's so gentle, that you can lose yourself in every note, even keeping breath with the tempo.
