True, man. We did too! Loved my Hot wheels until Mom grabbed one of those orange racks and went to swinging. Worse if the purple connector was still on it.

I am 51 and do I remember those! Their quality and details were incredible. Too bad the parents had a bad habit to throw toys away. I would've love to keep them, but they just disappeared. I had these orange tracks with the loops. We had a lot more fun than todays' kids.

Takes me back when me and my brothers had tracks & curves set up in our basement back in the days. When we did not clean up our room my mom would grab the most available thing to get us was that orange track. My dad bought us a bag full of Hot Wheels from the old Mattel outlet & I know we had a couple of Beach Bombs out of that bag of twenty cars. Great memories of our childhood that cannot be forgotten!

It doesn't matter how many versions of different franchises of Hot Wheels there are, It endured, kicked ass, and never cease to amaze since it's debut with its awesome car designs, very cool race sets, and lots more. It even was a big part of my childhood as well.

It's a shame that Mattel outsourced all of its production overseas... A lot of the toys they make these days are garbage.
