As a Canadian,be proud that you admit what your government is wrong,it just shows you are a good-hearted person.Better to be a"deceitful do-gooder" than someone who has made it their career denying what most people everywhere,just not the activists who film and document it,know is wrong.They really need to get a life.

Rob, the seal's skull is paper-thin. It is killed instantly by a well-placed pick. The writhing is revolting until you realize it's akin to the headless chicken thrashing about. The animal is clinically dead, the pain centre is disabled - or crushed, sure. The pneumatic hammer's blow on the oxen's forehead is no different.

It doesn't matter what colour they are. The hunt shoudl stop. The seals have it bad enough as it is. With ice floes melting due to global warming, they're all drowning! The candadian government should just leave them alone. I don't see how they're even going to fill their 300,000 quota....Shame on canada!

Granifolia - you're right - the age doesn't make this any more cruel - but facts are facts - this is a hunt for pups. This is an unsustainable, unacceptably cruel and abhorent hunt that servers no purpose. As one of the misguided and apparently deceitful do-gooders, I say it's time this blight on Canadian society comes to an end once and for all. As a Canadian this is embarrassing.

Misguided and deceitful do-gooders wasting fossil fuel to record a spectacular but otherwise well conducted hunt. ***There has been no hunt of the white pups for the past 20 years***.
