@tasiilaq01 You are correct sir :) They found the bomber, but it was totally smashed and not able to be salvaged. They then went back a second time, and that's when they recovered the P-38

pretty good. Just one problem. "Lost Squadron" landed wheels up and never deployed their landing gear. So that clip of the P-38's gear coming down shouldn't have been there.

No problem, you're just misinformed.
Fact is: The first P-38 landed gear down (expecting a hard, icey surface) and flipped over. All the other aircraft belly landed and bended their props...
