  • @powell356 ...Dick Head !!

  • God, I love George Jones. It's hard to sing along with him, because his songs make you cry. My dad saw him in person before he got famous, when he was playing bars and clubs in Beaumont, Texas (my hometown). He was from there. So, I grew up on his music and we went to Jones Country a couple of times when I was little. He is great. He has a great biography too.

  • @JoLeana76 .... Wow !! ...You're lucky to have been so close to to George . I envy your dad having heard him live in his eary days. ...Thanks for your comment !!

  • I am proud to say that am a Vietnam era vet. I was never stationed in-country, but flew C-130s from Clark Field in the Phillipines to Vietnam. I was lucky and came back each time all in one piece. I am glad to say that the people of this great country are finally showing appreciation for the Vietnam vets service. I proudly wear a "US Airforce-Vietnam Vet" embroderied cap and many people have come up to me to thank me for my service. I say "thank you" to those who weren't as lucky as I.

  • @powell356: No...Actually there were 58,212 war dead. God only knows how many more commited suicide when they got home and were disgraced and forgotten. I know cause I was one of the few that got home safe and faced the anti-war thugs. I'm now 72 and suffer from agent orange, hearing loss, lack of self confidence. This country don't give a shit.

  • Well, He ' Showed Up ' for this this one . . when it mattered . .

  • One of the Best songs ever . . The kind that last, just like Hank's ( all The Hanks . . Williams, Snow, Thompson, etc. )

  • To all the good men and my friends who died in Vietnam. You live on in my memory, but I wish I could have brought you home with me. I will never forget.

  • All that is left is kept if you didn't know.

  • @BrynMawrYamBag THANK YOU
