Blade SR , moded carbon fiber frame, metal head, belt tail

this is my blade sr,
Mods are
blade 400 skids, carbon fiber frame, led power light. belt driven tail
Dx6i transmitter, longer servo arms get more throw out of them,
plus adds some torque.

i got this heli used/crashed for 70 bucks, i sold the original transmitter for 45.
i paid 75 for the metal head, and 80 for the tail mod, 5 for the blade 400 skids
i already had the carbon fiber sheets and epoxy
So i have 185 invested in to this heli and it is steady and does 3d effortlessly
no more tail wag period, i never had a tail motor fail but thats because i would stop flying after it would start to wander and wag around. tail motor=junk


i seen so many people saying why do a belt drivin tail mod//, just get a honey bee king, or walkera, i had a honeybee king v3 , junk , junk
gyro,motor,servos all junk, plastic was the weakest plastic i ever seen, no local hooby stores carry parts for it
and i know its not a trex, well i didnt pay 300 for this so i dont expect a trex,
but i bet this will give a trex a run for its money

i didnt realize that until after install,

i could not move the idler pulley holes as they were pre drilled, i tried and it didnt work,

i ordered a new idler block

and i ordered a honeybee king 2 carbon boom , im gona use the 44t pully and wasp v4 metal tail set, it has bearings on both sides of the tail gear, on helifreak i was told that is were the binding happens, the plastic tail gear shaft has no bearings on it, just plastic holes

tail mod is great,it is rock solid now, before i was always fighting the tail. still needs some tweeking, my belt is shreding a little, i think its the tail gear its not wide enough for the belt, contacted freestyle hobby he is sending me a new belt, i think im gona have to widen the tail gear pocket

Why if u wanted a belt driven tail motor Why wouldn't you buy a heli that comes out of the box that way... Plus that mod isn't even worth the time or money

What type of led light and how did you wired it (do you have a schematic) of it. I just bought the Blade SR and i don't want it falling from the sky when the battery gets to low. Would greatly appreciated if you could provide any information on how to hook it up.

that looks like one crash and its all gone to pieces hehe, why do people do this? you say it was almost 100BUCKS!! plus shipping, i admire you passion for improvement, but you might aswell get a align trex 450 pro or something in the long run you got more money pumped in a cheap heli that would have been better wasted on a more relaible already modded model.
