Crush Chapter 19

Hey guys! So I know, it's been like 3 weeks. I'm very sorry. But nothing has been going right lately. And i have sooo much homework & finals are coming up next week. But to compensate for my absense, i'm going to post at least two chapters this weekend. And, i promise i will try my hardest to keep posting regularly. Anyways...here's the chapter...


Recap: Nick and Megan are together all because of Joe and Kevin's michevious planning.



I woke up by the bright sunlight shining through my window. I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock. It was 10:30 AM. I stood up and realized that I was still in my dress from last night.
I quickly jumped in the shower and changed into my favorite jean shorts and a t-shirt. I straightened my hair and then went downstairs. By this time, it was almost noon. I laughed softly as I saw the boys.
They were all still sleeping and sprawled out all across the living room. Nick was curled up in the chair, while Kevin was lying with his face down in the couch and Joe was half on the couch, half on the floor. I quickly grabbed my camera and took a couple pictures.
Then, I began to make lunch for us. I decided to make homemade pizza, which was one of their favorites. Just as I put it in the oven and shut the oven door, I felt two arms slide around my waist. I looked back over my shoulder and sure enough, there was Nick.
Morning babe. He said smiling.
Good morning sleepy head. I replied.
Why are you up so early? he asked.
I dont know. I woke up and just decided to get up. I took a shower and changed and straightened my hair and I just finished making the pizza for our lunch. I answered.
Homemade pizza? he asked.
Well of course. I replied.
Yes! he said. Thats my favorite.
I know. I paused. Your brothers are still sleeping? I asked.
Yep. He replied.
Oh. In that case I trailed off as I pressed my lips to his. He kissed back and lifted me up so I was sitting on top of the counter. Dang he was a good kisser.
Ahem. Someone said. We pulled away from each other and turned to see Joe and Kevin standing there on the edge of the kitchen.
Sorry. I said, blushing and looking down. Nick took a step back and I jumped down from the counter. Joe and Kevin just laughed at us.
Ah. I remember what it was like to be young and in love. Joe said and then paused. Oh wait. I am. He just smiled and walked back into the living room.
Whats with him? I asked.
Kayla. She called last night and they talked for hours. Kev answered.
He really likes her huh? I questioned.
Yeah. I think he does. Nick replied.
Well thats cool. I said. I was happy for Joe. I just hope that it wouldnt end with a bad break up like it did with Taylor.
I think so. Kevin agreed. He paused for a moment. Wait. That makes me the only single one. Nick and I chuckled slightly.
What about Lauren? I asked.
Yeah. But shell never like me like that. He replied.
How do you know? I asked.
I dont know. I just do. He said.
Just text her or something. Trust me Kev. A lot of girls would kill to be dating you.
Yeah right. He replied.
You have to at least try. I said.
Kevin. Youre a great guy. Any girl would be lucky to be dating you. Nick added.
Just give it a try. Call her or something.
Fine. He said, pulling out his phone. Im gonna text her.
What are you saying? I asked.
Hey! Whats up? he replied.
Perfect. I said.
*20 minutes later
We were in the middle of eating pizza, when Kevins phone started to vibrate on the table.
Oh my god. He said. He then picked it up and read the text.
What did she say? I asked.
She said: Hey Kevin! Not much is up with me. I just got off work. Whats up with you? What should I say back?
Umm. I dont know. Kevin. You have to talk to the girl yourself. Not through my words. I replied.
Okay. Umm. How about Not much. Just hanging with my brothers and our friend.
Thats great Kev. I said.
*2 hours later
Kevin and Lauren were still texting and Joe was texting Kayla so Nick and I decided to go take a walk.
We were walking down by the park, our fingers intertwined, in silence. I looked up at him. How did I ever get so lucky?
He looked down at me and I smiled. He smiled back. I was gonna miss that smile.
What are you thinking about? he asked.
Nothing. I answered.
Megan, tell me.
I was thinking about how great you are and how much Im going to miss you once you guys leave. I replied.
Oh. He said sadly and looking down at the ground.
But we can handle it right? I said smiling. He looked back at me.
Of course. He replied with a small smile.
I love you Nick. I said.
I love you too Meg. He replied. He bent down slightly and pulled me into a soft but passionate kiss. I was gonna miss that kiss even more than his smile.
