This video shows some (but not all) of what the PSP allows you to output to TV useing the new PSP-2000 hardware and composite cables. It can indeed output UMDs and pictures, but this is not shown.

  • That you can pretty much do anything on a standard definition cable when connected to the TV except play videogames on the device.

  • hey i have one problem how do i play games using my only 2004 model i think tv what should ido plz help!

  • You will have to be more specific, if you have a series 2000 psp(the newer, thinner and lighter psp, the original psp cant do this without third party products) you can connect one of two types of video cables. The first is composite, the second is component. Composite has red yellow and white, and you CANNOT connect it to play games on the tv, but you can do most other functions with it. With component, you CAN play games on the tv, but only when connected to the HD component ports of the tv.

  • Ha. You've got one of those TV's that doesn't have progressive refresh rate? What I mean is you couldn't play your PSP game in your current options, but you were able to show off the PSP menu. I did that once with one of my old TV's that did the same thing. But sadly I couldn't play PSP games either. So that's why I had to get a HD TV with progressive mode to play PSP games. Unfortunately, I am unable to record my PSP anymore.

  • Well, I can play games on my HDTV if I wanted to, but I cant record only the PSP's video signal since I dont have an HD/component recorder, and theres already a bunch of videos online showing it being used on an HD screen anyway.

  • so with composite cables you cant play games?

  • Exactly. the only exception is if Sony finds a way to fix it in the future, or a custom firmware is developed that can enable it.

0:35 Dude what game is that? How did you get it on the PSP

  • The 2000 model can play PS1 games on a TV by using the basic cables. The PSP games do not work, but the PS1 games from PSN do actually work very well! Try it.

  • SELLING PSP 2000 BLACK 60$ CONTACT ME IF INTERESTED

  • Im Sure Its The Other Way Round ?

Basically Red White Yellow Is Videos, Pics And Music, Red Green Bue Yellow White Is Everything Including Games :)

  • can you help me i just got the component cables cord and it work great but the only thing wrong it the color it look wired and wrong.

  • the vid is only fuckin 2 min long chill out and be patient

  • this guy stalls so much just to get to the main idea. it takes him like 5 min

  • This is why handheld game consoles suck,In order to play PSP games on your TV,you need a HDTV with progressive scan mode & a composite five plug AV cable???????,This Is Fucking Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no, you cant use component cables if yer tv only has yellow composite inputs
