  • Lisa, please let me know what color is " flake" white , and the Permanent Alizarin should be transparent ?

Thank you very much for sharing this information

    Best Regards

    Gigi

  • @cybrid1940 hi there, flake white is lead white. if you have a problem with that, some folks elect to use zinc, though there is some evidence that zinc is brittle and prone to cracking over time (though a panel rather than a stretched canvas or linen will help with this). permanent alizarin is a transparent color, yes. it's wonderful and highly addictive.

  • Curious question: How long was the actual time spent on this very nice little 8x10 piece? Love the technique....as I'm just getting into it myself. ;)

  • @GahDub Hi, I think this was 6 hours, if my memory serves...

  • @LisaGloriaArt ....thank you Lisa. Very cool indeed. I'm in to it and having fun as well. Time just vaporizes when doing these little guys. ;)

  • Lisa, this is fantastic! The rich darks you have for a background are riveting against the light table cloth and colorful peaches. Very nice work!

  • Nice rendering of the fruit and silver vessel, however the dead black background needs work. surely some sort of light would be present in such an arrangement. The painting seems incomplete because of this.

  • Beautiful art. What is the music?

  • Why don't you sell the DVD? I would buy it... and all the others...

  • very interesting, i see that you are using a Chinese bamboo brush at 3:20 is that correct? Could you tell me what purpose this is for, and when do you often use it? Sorry for my english THANKS :))
