On November 5, 2001, Dr. Andrew Bagby was murdered in a parking lot in western Pennsylvania; the prime suspect, his ex-girlfriend Dr. Shirley Turner, promptly fled the United States for St. Johns, Canada, where she announced that she was pregnant with Andrews child. She named the little boy Zachary. Filmmaker Kurt Kuenne, Andrews oldest friend, began making a film for little Zachary as a way for him to get to know the father hed never meet. But when Shirley Turner was released on bail in Canada and was given custody of Zachary while awaiting extradition to the U.S., the films focus shifted to Zacharys grandparents, David & Kathleen Bagby, and their desperate efforts to win custody of the boy from the woman they knew had murdered their son. What happened next, no one ever could have foreseen

  • If you're starting to watch this trailer, turn it off right now and just go watch the movie. There's no question of whether or not you should watch this. Also, I feel it will probably be better for you to go into the movie knowing nothing about it.

  • The Saddest doc you will ever see in your life!

  • Oh god, this made me cry.

  • @btbrotherton ok, listening to you

  • I love this so freakin much.

  • I just watched this today. Heartbreaking.

  • What can I say... The movie moved(haha) me... Every time I remembered a gut punching moment from the film I felt like a pressure was on me... Last time I felt that way was when my girlfriend died in a car crash so this film helped me become aware of that dreadful feeling either way I wish the best for the family

  • Went to read a brief outline of this documentary and the genius writer spoiled it in the first line. Still, I'm going to watch it as it looks very emotionally compelling

  • We finished this today in my philosophy class. It was very sad.

  • The documentary itself is fairly amateurish (though way better than most stuff, just has some amateur mistakes), but the subject matter is so powerful it completely washes away ANY errors. No other documentary has ran me through the spectrum of emotion, from anger to sorrow and heart warming joy that this movie has done. A compelling story and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't see it immediately.

  • @Kari2025 I say this because you spoiled it for me. I'm pretty pissed about that.

  • @Kari2025 Dude, delete this. I understand your sentiments, but this film is such a moving experience that you're depriving people of the right to be moved in an even stronger way. Not a lot of people know this story. Don't ruin it for them.
