I would like to use this technique to simulate light filtered through a cathedral's stain glass window. Any suggestions how to get the light rays to realistically pickup the colors of the individual glass elements from the window?

@looneyranger duplicate cathedral window, put it over the light rays layer, set its blending option to 'color' ?

very very nice tutorial, but... the reflections on the water will be in real much, much bigger..

think about the distance of the lightsource, aka sun :P... shining through the clouds..

.....in the clouds, it should be pinholes to make the reflections like those on the tutorial...

think its better to "stop" the beams just "behind" the boardwalk :)
