well I don't know about that, but for example in Russia, you never give a person an even number of flowers, only put even number of flowers on a dead person's grave...
so maybe the same thing goes for the olives

wow, definitely gotta drink the martini again, just with an odd number of olives. According to Regan this holds for most things (e.g. coffee beans in sambuca -which i guess u know very well!-)
By the way, who is this bartender? Is this a bar in Italy?

The barman is Riccardo Calosi, our personal professional for the video recipes. All the videos are shooted in his own bar "Caffè Terre di Masaccio".
Check the "geodrinks/arezzo" category & the "autori" page on our website for further informations.

Once again, great video.
DrinkaDrink are my favourite cocktail videos, because they have CLASS.
In any case, I just wanted to comment on the 2 olives.
In Gary Regans book "The Joy of Mixology", when discussing garnishes in the chapter "Foundations of the Bar", it mentions the olive. And I quote: "One olive is standard, three are acceptable, but two are verboten."
Regan explains that he can't find a reference to why, but suspects its from an old supersition.
Any ideas?
