48y old male with Furious Rabies.
Neither the patient nor his wife recalled that he had been bitten by a dog, cat, bat, or other mammal in the preceding months, and his skin showed no evidence of recent bite injuries or cuts

  • My heart goes out to this man and his family. It amazes me how this virus went through evolution to rid its host of the one thing that can aid in recovery. Water.

  • So if I get the virus like he did, with no apparent animal attack or whatever, how would I recognize the symptoms that I will show so that I can get help on time before that critical 7 week limit?

  • @mevastronomy :water cannot aid in the recovery.I'm sorry.once a victim reaches this stage of rabies, its almost certain he will die.

  • @squemish51

Impossible. Once the neuro-virus enters the blood stream and symptoms occur, rabies is impossible to survive. You can cure Rabies early before symptoms, but after the 7 week mark, it's too late.

  • He is scared of liquid

  • @Nicollie1062 I was talking to a teacher about a concept to kill off HIV and other diseases like cancer :D

Assuming normal diseased and mutated diseased cells carry a comon gene, and this gene has a weakness we can kill the cells from that gene. The problem is cracking the code... ;P

  • @iToasterman Cool:)).yeah I meant it in the way that people with diabetes don't suffer either :) I guess the sentence structure was a bit off lol..I meant it like " Having HIV is not a long suffering just like diabetes isn't a suffering either" ...as long as people are educated about their condition and take care of themselves. But yeah, Take care :))) <3

  • @Nicollie1062 my dad is diabetic and isnt suffering. and ty for informaning me, i was always confused :D

  • @iToasterman aids is not the virus..hiv is. hiv stays with you for life, but with proper care it's not painful and in fact people live long, fullfulling lives with it.in fact, there is no suffering. aids is a term for when a person with the hiv virus has not enough healthy cells to fight off stuff like a cold, etc. In any case, unless you're in a third world country, have no access to treatment or refuse to take care of yourself, having HIV is not a long suffering.Like diabetes.

  • health workers should take extra measures when treating patients with suspected rabies...they should wear mask and gloves to prevent the saliva to infect them

  • @FenrisHasCumForU I think 2 people have survived rabies, not sure. I got this information off of a Discovery Channel show.
