President William McKinley speaks before the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. It is right after this speech that McKinley is shot by a leftwing anarchist, Leon Czolgosz.

  • Too bad that they couldn't record the whole speech. Even if you couldn't hear the words, having the entire speech in it's entirety would be a historical treasure.

  • Wow.. he died.

  • RIP Mr.President :( I wish I could have saved you.

  • wow, amazing. i didn't know there was footage of mckinleys visit to buffalo. this is actually the day before he was shot twice.

he didn't die until 8 days later, after improving for the first 6 days. it was infection and gangrene that ended his life.

thanks for posting this amazing footage.

  • it's so creepy to see his last moments before being shot
