The controversy and aftermath of R & B/pop singer Chris Brown and his the alleged assault on girlfriend pop singer Rihanna.

Rihanna celebrates her 21st birthday on February 20.

The Los Angeles Police department is under fire for releasing a photograph of Rihanna's injuries to TMZ.com. There is an internal investigation into the matter. LAPD will press charges against the person(s) who released any confidential information to the media.

California has one of the most strictest domestic violence laws in the nation. If found guilty on any charges, Chris Brown could face up to ten years in prison for this assault.

Chris Brown now wear the label of Bobby Brown (or perhaps James Brown)?

His career is far from over. Before this incident, it was well-documented that Rihanna was obsessive of Chris, and she acutally hired people to spy on him. I'm not saying it was OK, but given the situation, the music industry won't have a hard time getting over this. Remember, it's a business.

don't get me wrong, Whitney and Rhianna are pretty talented but, i think they also desire better class of men as well, i will say to them they could have chosen men that at least well educated or from a middle class background, some men that will have grounded them instead of men that full-up their own behaviour....these talented female star should be careful in chosen mates as well..

All cases of domestic violence where men are accused are not of integrity, but women know the courts favor them. There are plenty of men wearing that charge that deserve it and that don't. Unfortunately, most of society including men let women do their thinking for them regarding this sensitive subject and become bias themselves. Like my mom told me, no man has the right to hit a woman as no woman as the righ to hit a man, but anyone who strikes should expect to be struck back.

The system is designed to convict men in domestic viloence cases no matter how questionable the woman or that it ever happened. A woman coud beat a man twenty minutes straight andthe woman receive a push from the guy in self defense and he's going to jail. The courts are bias and corrupt when it comes to this. Ihave a friend who was picked up on assault on female and was with me when girlfriend claimed he did it. With my testifying he still was found guilty.
