Ida Storm Damage to Ocean City, Md

The morning after show some serious beach ersion...or basically on 130thst, it's GONE all together...surf still rough and wind still blowing good!

yes, for the most part, it's all back! Some of the sand dune high up on the beach is still gone, but they are the city is planning on doing another beach replenishment project again (pumping the sand from the ocean, up onto the beach) But as far as the width of the beach for everyone sitting on the beach, it's all good!

I wish I could have, but my wife who is pregnant with twins, had to go on bed-rest in the hospital and so I had to cancel going back to Ocean City, so unfortunately I won't be able to get down there and wondering what it looks like myself!!! sorry

thanks...yeah I am wondering the same thing. We are going back this coming weekend and so anxious to see what the beach looks like and I'll take and upload another video to show what it's like!

It is my understanding that Ocean City does not have natural beach replenishment, and must rely on pumping the beach with sand. I can't wait to see what the mayor plans on doing.

And the lifeguard told me that they didn't budget for it this year so he doesn't think they are even going to be able to do that. So I wonder if they will have to declare some sort of emergency to get funds, or if in fact Mother Nature will help out...we'll see!!
