Sang it just as I would expect Langhorne to sing it, straight up and not letting selfish over-done vocal additions take over to ruin it. He just lets the beauty of the song speak for itself, which is the way I believe these songs should be sung.
The national anthem (or God Bless America in this case) is about inspiring ppl with a beautiful song about their country. It is NOT about showing off how long Beyonce can hold a high note or how many ways Christina Agulara can improvise in 4 minutes.
