Muhammad Ali said publicly it was only Ron Lipton who came and convinced him to help Carter and Rubin Carter himself right here admits that. Yet Carter allowed James Hirsch to not only omit that from his book but falsely claim some other wannabe got Ali. Total lie. Lipton brought Ali right to Rahway prison to meet with Carter. Ali said Lipton sacrificed everything to help Rubin.
Now in Carter's new book he makes it look like Ali just showed up. Untrue, Ali did not want to, Lipton did it.
