In this video we will take a CLOSE look at the Greek word "APOSTASIA" that is TRANSLATED as "FALLING AWAY" in the King James Version of the Bible in 2 Thessaloinas 2:3, which some teach SHOULD have been TRANSLATED as DEPARTURE as is dearting FROM the EARTH in a PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE in order to ESCAPE the preiod of GREAT TRIBULATION. And then the man of sin, the son of perdition, the antichrist shall be revealed. BUT what does the WHOLE word of God has to say about the SECOND COMING of Jesus ?

  • My question is this: how does either interpretation preclude a pre-tribulation rapture. I think you'll find that it does not. Who ae gathered at the second coming? The groom coming with his bride, and the guests, for the feast. Wedding event is in heaven, and ancient jewish wedding is a 7 day event.

  • @Haarmonics In responding to your question, first I would say that I find nothing in the word of God about the Jewish TRADITIONS of a wedding lasting 7 days, so then, to use an extra Biblical source to try and prove a pre-trib rapture does not satnd with ME as SOUND BIBLICAL teaching. Secondly I would say read the CONTEXT, because 2 Thess 1:7-10 PLAINLY teaches us that WHEN Jesus comes to be glorified in his SAINTS he s coming in FLAMING FIRE taking vengeance on those who obey NOT the gospel.

  • @AMATTEROFTRUTH Then IMMEDIATELY we are told of our GATHERING TOGETHER unto Jesus and how this event will NOT take place UNTIL TWO things happen first, which are the revealing of the antichrist and a great APOSTASY or falling away from the faith. Also notice that this event is called the DAY of Christ, which is another way of saying the DAY of the Lord where Jesus comes as a THIEF in the night to execute the WRATH of Almighty God AT the SECOND coming. There is NOT going to be a PRE-trib rapture!

  • This is such a twisted teaching. 1 John 2:19 makes it abundantly clear that there is NO falling away. If any leave it is because they were NOT of the faith to begin with. Those that leave were never of us so therefore it CANNOT be falling away and has to mean departure.

The Greek word apostasia is a COMPOUND word apo "from" and istemi "stand" it has the core meaning of away from or DEPARTURE

Liddell and Scott's "a Greek lexicon describes the word as both falling away and departure

  • @THERAPTURECOMES John 2:19 "They went out from us; but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would (no doubt) have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not ALL of us." Please notice the word "ALL", which means that SOME who "went out" from this particular congregation were in fact TRUE believers. The words "went out" simply mean went FORTH, and in no way demand a DEPARTURE from the FAITH. As you say, APOSTASIA means falling away.

  • @AMATTEROFTRUTH

Wow, do you often wade through the stuff you need boots for LOL? "THEY WERE NOT OF US" seems pretty clear to me! Tell me, Do you believe Judas was saved as well? How about the disciples that turned away from Christ at the bread being His flesh and the wine His blood? Were they saved also?

    John 6:33-40 is two strikes.

If you are a REAL BELIEVER of Christ, there is no falling away!

My video is titled 'Departure or falling away 2 Thes 2:3' watch it.

  • @THERAPTURECOMES I already have watched it my dear brother in the Lord. And you make some assumptions based on what you were previously taught by the pre-tribulation point of view.First you assume or falsey conclude that the period of great tribulation is the wrath of Almighty God, but they are not one and the same event as you suppose. The great tribulation comes first, then the second coming of Jesus, which is when the rapture takes place, then comes the wrath of God. We are NOT apponted WRATH

  • @Haarmonics So its no chruch or holy spirit that is taken away nor Micael thearcangle. My spirit accnowledged it to me also. Its in the context and the diffrent words of revealed in verse 3, v 6 and v 8 is further prooveing it.

  • Beware of straining at gnats and swallowing camels (that warning IS in the Bible, by the way)

  • Christ Himself used extra-biblical sources by quoting the writings of books not in the cannon: Enoch and Solomon's Psalter for instance. The whole wedding theme is exactly the image of the kingdom: bridalcovenant(dot)com/wedding1.html

  • Oh come on. The Bible doesn't detail every little thing. The context is clearly given in those parables to be a traditional jewish wedding. The Bible doesn't tell you how to pull your pants up, but you know how to do that, don't you? Well, Christ used parables about scenarios the jews would get. Learn a thing or two about the audience my friend; you are in the dark about much if not.

  • how about we hope for a rapture and prepare for a tribulation? Apparantly its not our buisness to know....seems God is pretty clear on the things we should be concentrating on.....Love you my BROTHAzz and SISTaz!!!! :)

  • @AMATTEROFTRUTH

We will know soon enough as to what will or what will not happen.
