Review of low power IC audio amplifiers TDA7268 and 67. Great for battery use. Complementary output allows for wide output voltage swing for max power delivered to load. I get 1.8 watts into noninductive 5 Ohm load before clipping. This is a great performance from from single ended analog chip amp with 9 volt supply. These newer designed ICs need very few external components.

For comparison, the LM386 IC could only muster 1/2 watt & the TDA7231A could do 1 watt under the same conditions.

  • great sounding amp.. can you please tell me the name of this song. Thank you

  • Hi,

Can you provide the schematic and a parts list so i can try this. Please include complete information on parts such as power rating for resistors, voltage rating for CAPs. Many people do not for some reason. I want to run this off a 12VDC 3Amp laptop power supply and drive a small marine speaker.

    Thank you
