Of course they will say that. They have cut their expenses as much as they can by running it into the ground and not properly inspecting or maintaining it, and petitioned the NRC to uprate the plant (increase it's power output), wanting to spend its decommissioning funds, and now they want to spin it off to a separate highly leveraged holding company. It's all about making lots of money for the c-levels, and not about being safe, clean or reliable.
