Otto Linton drove the Siata Prototype for Tony Pompeo at Watkins Glen in 1951, to demonstrate the car with a Crosley 750cc engine. Giorgio Ambrosini (the Founder) and Renato Ambrosini (President) of Siata where at the race to gauge the American interest in this sports car. In spite of the last lap incident, the trip was a success and Siata started production of similar cars known as the 300bc.
