First Lockheed Martin video showing two F-35 Joint Strike FIghters in the air together. The first two conventional take-off and landing F-35As, aircraft AF-1 and AF-2, were filmed on May 17, 2010, during their non-stop ferry flight from Lockheed's Fort Worth plant to the US Air Force flight-test centre at Edwards AFB in California. Two more test F-35As will follow, AF-3 and AF-4. The first two production F-35As, AF-6 and AF-7, are to be delivered to the Eglin AFB, Florida, training centre by year-end.

  • Surely the F 35 JSF is technologically state of the art. Can't say that its 'beautiful to see" though. In this respect I liked the designs of the F-14, 15, 16 and F-18 better

  • @Heathh49008 Perfect for asymetric warfare though.

  • Manned fighters are obsolete. Sexy, cool, and I would love to fly one.... But a 747 ABL would destroy it with impunity, provided a combat drone doesn't destroy it's base without risking a pilot.

    Sadly.

  • oh yes, a beautiful failure...!

  • Beautiful.
