Make Long Life Buns within an hour Ingredients: Pastry - 2 cups (500ml) Bisquick mix 2 cups (500ml) flour 1 cup (250ml) sugar 1 cup or more milk (or water) ½ cup flour for dusting 1 tbsp red food coloring Filling -- One can of sweet lotus seed paste or red bean paste (16 oz)

(6)Using a knife, press a deep line from the centre to the sharp point of each bun.
(7)Dip a tooth-brush in the red food coloring. Hold the brush facing down in one hand. Draw a finger or a tooth pick across the bristle and spray the color away from the brush over the pointed half of the bun. This should result in fine red dots on the buns

Method:
Pastry -
Mix Bisquick mix, flour and sugar thoroughly in a mixing bowl and make a well in the centre.
Add milk or water into the well. Gradually draw in the flour mix to knead into soft dough. Dust with flour or add more milk and mix until smooth.
***Magic: Don't need to prove the dough***

To complete -
(1)Place the dough onto a lightly floured board and roll into a thin sheet (1/4 inch thick).
(2)Using a glass cup press on the sheet and cut dough portions into round shape.
(3)Chill paste in fridge first and make ball shaped filling about 1 inch in diameter.
(4)Warp in the filling and draw the edges to seal tightly. Shape one side of the bun into a sharp point. Flatten the bottom on a sheet of wax paper.
